A Sugar-Free Electrolyte Mocktail

 Happy Summer, friends! It's been a minute since I've updated the blog, but this new discovery was too good not to share. Over the past year I've gone soberish...I'll take a few sips of Champagne on a special occasion, but in my day-to-day life, I'm alcohol-free. 

Last year, I gave up alcohol for Lent and realized I didn't miss it much at all. I went without it completely during pregnancy, of course, and just never felt the need to go back to a glass of wine on the weekends. 

This change sent me on a quest for something alcohol-free but festive to sip on. Unfortunately, many mocktails are loaded with fruit juice, meaning they're really high in sugar. While that's fine every once in a while, it's so nice to be able to enjoy something that does my body good while still feeling like a treat. 

Enter the La Croix electrolyte mocktail! It's super refreshing, easy to make, and completely sugar-free. 



Here's what you'll need: 

Be sure to mix the still water and La Croix first, since mixing electrolytes into anything carbonated will cause it to fizz up. Then, just stir and enjoy!

I've tried this with a few other Trevi flavors, including strawberry kiwi paired with strawberry peach La Croix. It's sweet but not too sweet - a perfect drink for a hot summer day. Have you tried any other combos? Let me know!
