Hi, Swifties! Who else is excited for Taylor Swift's Eras Tour documentary? I saw the trailer this morning and am counting the days until October 13th!
Though I didn't get to see the Eras Tour in person...hey, we can't ALL win the Ticketmaster Great War...you better believe I'm pumped to see the movie. Taylor Swift is a once-in-a-generation artist and business mastermind who has managed to create an entire subculture around her music.
In her movie trailer announcement, Taylor encouraged fans to bring their friendship bracelets and sing along at the movie. She's trying to create a communal experience, which, three months ago, I would have thought was pretty far-fetched. But look at what happened with Barbie: We grabbed our friends, wore everything pink, and showed up in droves for a movie that felt like a celebration. And in October, we'll do it all again.
So...are you ready for it?
Midnights/Lover Era
These eras have the same iridescent feel to their imagery, so combining them in one outfit makes a lot of sense. If it's pastel and shiny...it belongs here. The disco ball earrings fit the Midnights era, but they're also a nod to Mirrorball on her Folklore album. The boots look very similar to the ones Taylor wears in this part of the show. Since the costume she wears is pretty skimpy, you'll want to throw on a jean jacket (or a cardigan!) especially as chilly temperatures arrive.
RED Era
"A Lot Going on at the Moment" Graphic Tee // Black Sequin Shorts // Black Derby Hat
Taylor's RED Era costume is one of the least complicated and the most memorable of the tour! It only takes three items: Black sequin shorts, a black hat, and the iconic graphic tee. I found all of these on Amazon (as an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases).
Travis Kelce Era
If you're looking for a couple's costume that's topical, easy, and fun...look no further! Have your significant other snag a Travis Kelce jersey and wear it over white athletic pants.
